Community

I believe we can all make a difference right where we are. We have a responsibility to be involved in our communities and help where it is needed. I am passionate about community upliftment and improving the quality of life for others, especially those who are going through hard times. Using my skill and talent to give back is very rewarding and often puts things in perspective. After years in the corporate environment and driving various social responsibility projects, I now Consult with businesses on Corporate Social Investment – creating a link between businesses and the communities who need assistance (also assisting with B-BBEE Scorecard and SED).

One of my passions is feeding/hunger, and helping people get back on their feet. I am currently the #Brand Ambassador for The Cradle of Hope – an independent social upliftment and community development organisation with its core focus on assisting women & children who find themselves in desperate need. Their philosophy of “a HAND-UP and not just a HAND-OUT” helps individuals get back on their feet and restores their dignity through involvement in The Cradle’s various upliftment activities.  The organisation feeds approximately 500 people per day (5 days per week) with freshly made meals from their kitchen.

I also volunteer on a regular basis at Kencare, a local feeding scheme in my suburb. Kencare feeds up to 100 homeless and hungry individuals on a weekly basis with freshly prepared meals.
