Bennum recently entered the prestigious Mister Global South Africa Competition. The 2025 theme was “Men of Essence” – with a focus of not just beauty and body discipline, but an all rounded man who embodies leadership, inspiration, community involvement and general upliftment of those around him. The competition required business acumen, sponsorship and funding generation, networking and ambassadorship. The final Gala and crowning took place in Pretoria on 27 July 2025. Bennum finished in the Top 3 of all South Africa as 2nd Runner Up. He also received the the Director’s Choice, and Debutant Awards.
“Honoured to be selected. The journey was all about growth, self-belief and personal development, being brave, making yourself vulnerable. Ending the competition in the Top 3 in South Africa feels pretty amazing. It’s never too late to follow your dreams or take on new challenges. Competing again was a reminder that anyone can achieve anything they set their sights on. I see it as a stepping stone to other achievements and tackling other projects in my life.”
